Anesthesia School

This past week one of my classmates was using an analogy to describe anesthesia school. She said that college was like putting your mouth on a garden hose and taking a drink, while anesthesia school was like wrapping your lips around a fire hose. I think this is quite fitting in many respects. The amount of material we are covering in such a short time is quite amazing. That any of us are retaining and actually learning is beyond belief.
I believe that we all made it through the first test without too much bleeding. Some of the second year students said that this first test was a good confidence builder. I think that most of us just felt lucky for it to be over.
