How Bad Could It Be??

It has been quite a while since I last updated my blog. I would like to say that the rigors of anesthesia school are such that I haven't had the time for anything else, but that would be an out and out lie. I have actually clicked on the site several times with the intention of adding an update, but didn't have the stamina to stick it out. I need some kind of "bloggers Viagra", in order to get started.

I was reading a post from my niece Tracie (
http://milner.blogspot.com/) who is traveling in Australia. Some of the things she said about fitting in I found very interesting. I have lived in several places in the western US, and for the most part have found that the people were just like me. However, people here in the northeast are very different than what I would call familiar. I get along with them fine and all, it is just that I know we are coming from very different places. I empathize with you Tracie.

Anesthesia school is going well. This summer semester is full of busy work. The classes are condensed into "blocks" which means 8 hrs. each day of class, and an exam every week. I am told that there will be no classes in August, just an entire month of clinical rotations. I found out that I will be going to Magee Women's Hospital, for the month of August to get some practice with epidurals before going to Saginaw, Michigan, for the month of September. I am looking forward to that trip. I like being a little more independent with the clinical work. Speaking of which...

280 down, 270 to go!gnments. I hope not, but it is easy to see how that would happen.

Tracie will be glad to know that you read her post. She only got one comment about it and that was about the picture of her toenails.

Oh Contraire my dear Tracie. Work will be so much better than school. I will be doing the same thing as I am now, but with no tests or papers to do, and 75 bucks an hour!!
