Upward and Onward. Life as a CRNA

I have reached a milestone.
300 down 250 to go!!
I am now working at the "Mother Ship", UPMC Presby, in downtown Oakland, and I am happy to say it is turning out to be much better than I had anticipated it would be. I was at Presby for one day during the first semester for a "walk around" day, and I didn't have a very good experience.

Two weeks ago we were in Palmyra, NY. and I ran into a guy from my mission whom I haven't seen in 22 years. You may recognize him as Eric Jensen. He is working as an attorney for the US Army.
We stopped by Niagara Falls on the way back to Pittsburgh. We didn't do any of the tourist stuff, because Ralph and Gail are coming out in August, and we wanted to do it when they are here.

Back on the school front, the summer is flying along. The first 6 weeks of class are already in the books. We had our first exams of this term, and they went alright. Susan and Adam are heading up to Edmonton to visit during the month of July.

We had some sad news from the UK this past week. Our good friends Paul and Pat Gunson lost their son Stuart to a cerebral aneurysm this past week. He leaves behind Denise and Deanna (wife and daughter). Paul and Pat seem to be taking it well. I spoke to Jenks and he called them last week. A good understanding of where we came from, where we are going, and why we are here is sure important at times like this.
